History

The first LogIt version 1.0 was released in Spring 1991 and some upgrades were released since then, giving additional features or simply correct some errors or program misbehaving. The last DOS version 3.71 had been released in June 1994 and only a few changes have been made since then because of a lack of time on my side and also no reports of severe errors which needs to be fixed. However, some enhancements were made as well and so the changes results in new release numbers and therefore updates were available here. In 1993 also a first HAM version was released. This version is no longer supported, even though it still should do its work without any problems.

Until 1994, the program came along with a database containing the members of the AT group - of which I was a member at that time - corresponding to the printed directory of each year. In Autumn 1994 I've encountered serious problems with the groups H.Q. on this fact, so this database is no longer available; at least not from me.

Even though the actual DOS version 3.90 runs under Windows 3.x as well as Windows 95/98 and later versions, a first 16 bit Windows-Version LogIt 4.0 was released in January 2001. Even though it was probably not as stable as the DOS version, it seems to work well so far.

The actual version LogIt 5.0 was released in May 2004 and is a 32 bit application running under all Windows versions from and above Windows 98 SE. The program not only has a new layout but some enhanced features and is upward compatible with both the DOS and the previous Windows version.
