Utilities

The following location files can be imported inside LogIt and are common both to the DOS and the Windows version.

World - location file 26 KB ZIP file - containing 1654 towns & locations world wide for use with LogIt.
If you're installing LogIt for the first time and have not already a town database on your own, there's no need to download this file because you can choose it to be installed during the setup procedure.

Germany - location file 78 KB ZIP file - containing 6815 german towns (those with more than 1000 inhabitants) for use with LogIt

Here are the utilities necessary to import databases from a previous LogIt version along with the map files. Please note that the programs are also included in either the complete and the web setup. They are only here in case you've just installed LogIt and forgot to choose the corresponding option during the installation procedure...

Upgrade from DOS version 278 KB ZIP file - the file must be unzipped to the same directory where logit.exe is stored, e.g. c:\logit5.

Import from previous
Windows version 285 KB ZIP file - the file must be unzipped to the same directory where logit.exe is stored, e.g. c:\logit5.

MAP files 285 KB ZIP file - the file must be unzipped to a subdirectory "maps" inside the directory where logit.exe is stored, e.g. c:\logit5.

The program Worldmap2 is a replacement for the original program world.exe already included in the LogIt package. The behaviour is about the same but there are some enhancements, e.g. a toolbar for easier access to the functions and two different maps of the world, one by daylight and one by night.

This program can also be used as a standalone program. A database of about 3400 towns worldwide is included and once you've selected your home location, simply pointing somewhere on the map not only displays the coordinates of that location but the distance and beam direction as well. The program comes along with a small configuration file to setup some basic parameters.

Worldmap2 1,2 MB ZIP file - if you plan to use the program together with LogIt, the file must be unzipped to the same directory where logit.exe is stored, e.g. c:\logit5. For use as a standalone program you may unzip it to whatever location you like.
